With the project
la bonne heure we're eager to put the focus during our activities and events on the
bonne heure. What we mean by that is to adopt and to demand a responsible attitude towards each other; to stay aware of the consequences on the world and on the future of our actions; to let pass time — especially as social life — relieved of any thinkings about efficiency and profitability. We promote actively the artistic work because it is its duty to point at the urgency and the necessity of #
feminism, #
anti-racism, #
anti-capitalism, #
anarchism and ecologically conscious action. We provide a framework for cultural exchange in order to break down cultural barriers. In our project, especially autonomous and ethically correct ideas and techniques for the private and occupational routine shall be shared. Therefore, we can
go to bed early.
Proust's "In Search of Lost Time" begins with "Longtemps, je me suis couché de bonne heure" (For a long time I used to go to bed early). In the german translation, the "bonne heure" gets lost. It's a word about time and luck (bonheur). The bonne heure, the good time, is the antithesis to the bad eternity, the empty and thus bad duration in which sleep is not possible. The rift in time, the radical discontinuation of time which doesn't allow any remembering, leads to an agonizing sleeplessness.
