Scientists have discovered that Earth may once have been inhabited by a thriving civilization and numerous life forms.
Newly discovered fossils embedded in a rich layer of soot reveal that millions of years in the past, the planet may once have supported teeming quantities of organic matter and even intelligent life. This shocking conclusion was reached by a team of researchers and recently released in Bassal, the prestigious science journal.
Based on evidence only recently made possible by dropping robotic probes through the planet’s toxic atmosphere and then burrowing through layers of ash, scientists have reached the conclusion that, rather than being forever inert, as previously thought, this world had once been home to an advanced civilization that suffered some sort of self-induced or naturally caused disaster. More research will be required to determine the characteristics of the said civilization and its demise.
