Freetube looks promising. Installed it on MX Linux. On Android, I'm already using another one (Libretube).

Honestly, these seem like much better solutions since they then rely exclusively on the user's and Google's bandwidth; no need for servers with big fat pipes to the internet.
They offer full interfaces, with search!
Of course, yt-dlp is great too.
