These are my concerts and presentations as a #Ryukyu #Minyo #singer and #sanshin player so far. I don't intend to boast about it at all. To be honest, I prefer to rather not publish them on the internet. I know that I'm not such great Minyo singer yet. It's even more obvious when I hear all the skilled Minyo singers around me here in Okinawa.

The application procedure for a so called Cultural Activities Visa in Japan requires me to publish my achievements, so that the officers can judge wether I'm worth the effort or not. My teacher and me handed in my application today at the local immigration office. Wish me good luck.

Short update: I got the visa! 🎉
Am slowly settling and learning what it is to be a Japanese Citizen.
And waiting for the Taifun to move away from our island.
Had a wonderful class at my teacher‘s home yesterday.

I am happy.

I wish all of you happyness as well. And peace on Earth. May the humans be with Nature.

Okinawan Music and Dance Performance at Theater Basel

I'm happy to announce the performance of Okinawan Music and Dances, which will happen at Theater Basel on April 27th from 15 to 16 o'clock. The singers and #sanshin players are Yomo Tagami, Giuseppe Ardiri, Mina Mermoud and me (see also @utasanshin 唄三線).
Along to this music, @tr'ensemble | Taiko, Eisa & Pungmul in Basel under the artistic guidance of @Ana and me will perform #Eisa dances! Free entry! Bringing snacks or non-alcoholic drinks for the subsequent buffet is appreciated :-)
